Senior Research Manager

The V&A Development department is critical in enabling the Museum to realise its ambitions.

The department is responsible for securing funds from individual donors, corporates, patrons, trusts and foundations. The income raised through the Development department provides essential support for acquisitions, exhibitions, learning and accessibility programmes, and other activities that support the Museum’s strategic plan. The department also secures funds towards FuturePlan, the V&A’s extensive and ambitious programme of capital redevelopment.

The post holder will oversee research provision for the V&A Development department, supporting colleagues with the identification, collection, organisation and analysis of research information on prospective donors, supporters, and issues of strategic importance to the department and wider V&A. Specialist research will be dedicated toward supporting FuturePlan capital fundraising and multisite programming at a pivotal moment for the museum, as it prepares to commence ambitious new programmes at V&A East Storehouse and Museum, and planned renovation works at V&A South Kensington.
