PAYROLL ASSISTANT - FILM & TV PRODUCTION COMPANY
6 months fixed term contract - £35,000 pro-rata
IMMEDIATE START!
Enjoy the limelight as Payroll Assistant for this major international film and media production company with offices in the UK and USA. Lights, camera, action!! you will be responsible for all permanent and contractor payroll administration for their transatlantic teams. The role of Payroll Assistant is London based and looks after all Head Office UK employees and freelance staff operating out of both locations. Initially for a 6-month contract with potential view to permanent.
Star qualities we are looking for include solid experience of Payroll and Benefits administration in the UK with particular knowledge of running payroll for freelance/contract staff and liaising with third party payroll providers. You will enjoy being in the spotlight for managing and dealing with all payroll related queries for the UK and U.S and work as part of an innovative, pro-active HR and Operations team.
Roll out the red carpet….. As Payroll Assistant you will be responsible for
Processing monthly payroll for Head office and Freelance staff
Collect and input all required new starter documentation such as P45, HMRC New Starter Checklist, bank details etc.
Ensure all fixed and variable payroll elements are accurate each month and fully checked before processing payroll
Liaise with relevant departments on any monthly deductions required for payroll (i.e. Credit Card expenses, Salary sacrifice etc.)
Freelance Payroll
Action all necessary work in relation to Salary/Rates, Pensions, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Holiday pay, general absence etc.
Perform checks on payroll reports when they come through
Complete end of month payroll reconciliation
Liaise with HMRC and other appropriate third parties, as appropriate
Manage US weekly payroll
Track employee benefits and complete P11Ds for partners/CEO
Provide payroll data for audits
Calculate and track cycle scheme deductions
Track SMP/SPP/SSP payments
Manage the pension process for employees on salary sacrifice and net pay pension schemes, addressing pension queries
Manage BUPA Healthcare Benefit queries and payrolling, liaising with our Broker when necessary (Private Medical Insurance and Cash plan)May & Stephens Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
