We have an excellent opportunity to join a highly reputable main contractor based on the South Coast who are looking for an experienced Estimator to join the team. The business holds a strong presence on the South Coast, undertaking projects across a range of sectors including education, commercial, defence and leisure typically valuing up to £45mil. They have won a place on several national / local authority frameworks and projects are procured via a mix of single and two-stage tenders.

About this Estimator role:

As Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing projects individually or working as part of the team on larger, more complex schemes. You will be involved in the process at the earliest stage and will manage the tender until handover with the delivery teams. You will work collaboratively with other members of the pre-construction team and will report into the Pre-Construction Manager.

Key Responsibilities as Estimator:

• Work from first principles
• Independently tender projects valuing up to £25mil.
• Work collaboratively with Surveying and Operational teams to produce tenders that are competitive whilst meeting the clients requirements
• Support and mentor junior members of staff

Key Requirements for this Estimator position:

• Have a prove track record of tendering projects within a main contractor valuing up to £20mil
• Have held the Estimator position for a minimum of 3 years within a main contractor
• Ideally have experience with single and two-stage tendering
• Live within a commutable distance to Southampton and have the full right to work in the UK.
