Job Description
Senior Quantity Surveyor (Senior QS) position at a renewable energy company based in Scotland, offering flexible hybrid working and a competitive compensation package.
Key Details:
* Location: Remote - Based out of Scotland
* Division: Independent Connections Provider (ICP), with some integration into the Solar Farm division
Role Overview:
* Responsibilities:
* Manage a project portfolio of approximately £25m annually alongside the operations team
* Oversee commercial operational activities, pre-contract agreements, and subcontract negotiations
* Financial project reporting, invoicing, and cashflow management
* Contract administration and financial management
* Develop commercial understanding within teams and drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
* Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or equivalent
* Experience: Strong background in quantity surveying, ideally in civils, groundworks, or high voltage electrical projects
* Skills: Knowledge of FIDIC/NEC contracts, budget and cashflow management, advanced MS Office (especially Excel), and ideally experience with Smartsheets
* Traits: Proactive, leadership-oriented, strong interpersonal skills
