Job Description
Role: Quantity Surveyor - Passive Fire Protection
Location: London
Salary: Up to £50,000 - £60,000 Plus Package (DOE)

About your new role:
Working closely with the commercial team you will provide support in the commercial function assisting on live projects and upcoming tenders.
Duties for the Quantity Surveyor:
Receiving, acknowledging and checking tender documentation, raise queries as necessary
Handle receipt and distribution of tender information and maintain good information control
Setting up new tender enquiry
Liaison of contract related information flow e.g., performance bond and insurance requirements request for quotation
Assist with identifying work package
Assist with compiling tender bid list
Preliminary contact with supply chain to gauge interest
Obtain and chase outstanding quotations
Assist in financial analysis and due diligence
Develop an understanding of drawings and specifications
Take-off measurement from drawings
To develop a detailed knowledge of the estimating system and use this as required
To attend interviews and post tender discussion meetings
To build up a good working relationship with our supply chain, professionals and clients
Dealing with Procurement, Valuation, Variations and Contracts Requirements for the Quantity Surveyor:
A minimum of 5-6 years experience within passive fire protection / structural fire protection.
Previous experience of working with clients such as Building Surveyors, Estate Management, Architects would be advantageous.
