The Vacancy

Uniserve is The UKs leading independent logistics and global trade management provider, seeks a driven and organised Transport Supervisor (Night Shift)to join our ambitious growing team, off the back of new business wins with major blue chip organisations we are expanding and want a driven, tenacious and passionate individual to come and join our team to support with our success moving forward.

Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, start time is 18.30pm until 06.30am.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Align and uphold our strong H&S first culture within the department and business, ensuring everyone comes into work and goes home safe.
  • Support the assistant transport manager and national planning manager in driving departmental success.
  • Oversee the activities of our transport fleet, ensuring on time deliverys by completing track and trace to deliver customer experience, taking ownership of consignments and querys end to end to ensure a best in class service.
  • Support with the development cost-effective transport plans using our purpose built TMS solution alongside several customer plug in systems.
  • Providing clear briefing and de briefing to drivers to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of our executional plan.
  • Monitor transport management software to ensure system compliance at all times.
  • Support the compliance manager with tacho system compliance, driver infringements & retaining / coaching.
  • Liaise with Uniserve depots, customers, and sales teams to resolve delivery challenges and ensure customer experience.

You bring:

  • Commitment to upholding SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Quality) policies.
  • Experience in transport operations & planning.
  • Knowledge of transport legislation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with transport management systems.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Collaborative spirit.
