Flux Consulting have partnered with one of the UK’s leading property consultancies, renowned for their expertise across commercial, rural, and residential property markets.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Oxford office, where you’ll be part of an exceptional team working on some of the most prestigious projects in the region.
Role Overview:
You will play a critical role in providing high-quality advice on a range of surveying and project management services. This includes undertaking inspections, overseeing refurbishments, conducting condition surveys, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This is an opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, major institutions, and public-sector clients, to support and enhance the value of their properties.
Key Responsibilities of this position will include:
* Conducting detailed building surveys, feasibility studies, and condition assessments
* Managing refurbishment and renovation projects from inception to completion
* Preparing technical reports, specifications, and contract documentation
* Undertaking building defect analysis and preparing cost-effective repair proposals
* Advising clients on building regulations, health and safety standards, and statutory compliance
* Assisting with planning applications, obtaining building control approval, and liaising with contractors
* Managing budgets, schedules, and quality assurance throughout project delivery
* Contributing to business development and client relationship management
The ideal applicant for this position will possess:
* MRICS Chartered status (essential)
* A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
* Proven experience in building surveying, project management, and contract administration
* Strong knowledge of current UK building regulations and property legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Full UK driving license
