Job Title: Secondary Daily Supply Teacher
Location: Newcastle
Pay rate: £125 - £155 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Daily Supply, Long term

GSL Education Newcastle Branch has been in collaboration with a reputable secondary school in Newcastle that is seeking an adaptable and knowledgeable Daily Supply Teacher to join their brilliant team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to experience various educational settings, develop your teaching skills and make a positive impact on students' learning journeys.

As a Daily Supply Teacher, your primary role is to provide high-quality educational support by stepping across various subjects and year groups. This evolving position requires adaptability, excellent classroom management skills and the ability to deliver engaging lessons with minimal notice.

Responsibilities of the Daily Supply Teacher:

Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning for students.
Adapting teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners and maintaining classroom discipline.
Marking work and providing constructive feedback to students.
Engaging students in the learning process and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Building strong relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
Requirements of the Daily Supply Teacher:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience teaching in secondary schools, preferably across a range of subjects and year groups.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different educational environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of education and supporting students' academic progress.
Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
