Job Description
Our UK Leading Client is a trusted industry leader, delivering innovative maintenance and support services that ensure the safety and sustainability of the UK’s road network. With nearly 30 years of expertise, they optimise critical infrastructure assets for both public and private sectors, they are now looking for a proactive, detail-oriented SHEQ Lead to drive the continuous improvement of our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) systems.
Job Title: SHEQ Lead
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £40,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time
Roles and Responsibilities:
Leading the implementation of an updated SHEQ management system across the business
Regularly reviewing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems, ensuring all documentation remains relevant and effective
Conducting internal audits of the management system, both desktop-based and on-site
Leading external audits with clients and accreditation bodies
Collaborating with site management to identify and address training needs for upcoming projects
Conducting Safety Induction Training for all new starters
Delivering internal training sessions for company employees
Reporting monthly on SHEQ statistics to track performance and improvements
Providing support to the SHEQ Manager as required Skills and Qualifications
Certification as an internal auditor
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
Proven experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 management systems
A full, clean UK driving license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
