My client is one of the UK’s leading independent home builders, creating beautiful new and luxurious homes in highly desirable residential locations for over 60 years.
They are building more than 500 homes a year in the UK across multiple sites, who provide an impressive portfolio of apartments, mews and townhouse residences as well as spacious semi-detached and detached homes.

The Role In Summary:
As their Regional Buyer, you’ll handle procurement for up to 8 sites concurrently, making sure all material requirements are met on time and within budget. This position demands a detail-oriented professional who excels at balancing priorities, with the ability to anticipate and respond to the unique demands of each site.
You will provide a vital link between site teams, suppliers, technical team, land team, and the senior leadership team for the division. The role will involve attending site visits and supplier meetings, and proactively sourcing new local suppliers to ensure my client offers an unrivalled level of support to the communities where it builds.
Required Experience:
* COINS Software Expertise: Previous experience with COINS is essential for success in this role, with a proven ability to manage procurement tasks effectively within this software.
* Experience as a Buyer in Construction: A strong background in construction procurement, particularly within the house-building industry, ideally a minimum of 5 years, is ideal
* High-Level Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple sites and projects with precision, excellent organizational skills, and strong attention to detail.
* Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and met.
* Proactive Problem Solver: Someone who can take ownership of challenges and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure quality and efficiency across sites.
Responsibilities:
* Procurement Management: Handle the full buying process from supplier negotiations and budgeting to material scheduling and delivery, coordinating across all active sites.
* Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring access to premium-quality materials at the best possible terms.
* Site Evaluations: Conduct site visits several days a month to assess material needs and align purchasing strategy with on-site requirements.
* Cost Control: Work closely with the Commercial Team to ensure that all purchases contribute to the financial health and budget compliance of each project.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Use COINS software to monitor spending, track purchases, and generate reports for management, offering data-driven insights to optimize operations.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify risks within the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions
