Red Rock Consultants are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
Job Description:
As a Maintenance Operative, your role is to ensure an exceptional customer experience by delivering a proactive and efficient repair and maintenance service. You will be responsible for promptly addressing any faults and maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out high-quality repair and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and decorating. Additionally, oversee any subcontracted work related to these areas to ensure standards are met.
* Complete reactive maintenance tasks promptly and to a consistently high standard, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
* Oversee planned maintenance tasks, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, fire extinguisher inspections, water hygiene flushing and temperature monitoring, shower head descaling, and health & safety inspections.
Requirements:
* A good understanding of H&S legislation.
* To be qualified in either plumbing, joinery, or electrical systems is desirable.
* Previous experience of electrical, plumbing and general maintenance.
Hours:
* 40 hours per week
* Monday to Friday
* 1 in 4 Saturday’s on a rota basis
* Hours of work between 08:00 and 18:00
