To meet our challenges, we are looking for our next Head of Global Environment (M/F) within the Global EHS Team, on a permanent contract! This position will be located in La Madeleine (Lille) and will report to the Head of Global EHS.
Your mission?
The Head of Global Environment will play a central role in the improvement of our EHS performance. This position involves leading and coordinating the environmental strategy of the organization as part of our Life + Nature program.
You will be responsible for driving the organization forward in terms of environmental performance (ISO 14.001, waste management, environmental impacts reductions, sites performance reviews,...) and governance (investment committees, objectives deployment, executive reviews, EHS Community, professional associations…) and for inspiring colleagues to build a collective and systematic approach regarding all environmental initiatives.
Your experience and talents will make the difference to:
- Define a comprehensive Group environment strategy which aligns with the company sustainability targets and deploy it within the group.
- Characterize the Group's most critical environmental risks and ensure that the appropriate remediation plans are in place in due time.
- Establish the Group annual environment roadmap/programs.
- Define and deploy the most appropriate Key Performance Indicators (tools & methods) to measure the Group overall (or more local) environment performance.
- Develop and implement the different policies, procedures, tools, reporting and management systems and lead their integration into all business units.
- Involve all regional EHS managers and other functions (management; manufacturing; support functions…) for execution.
- Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement, transversal and cross-functions collaboration, share best practices, and commit to collective and long-term success.
- Propose the appropriate improvement & investment plan (global or local) and ensure a good level of supervision in the different levels of the organization.
- Guarantee that a good level of managerial and technical competencies is maintained within the Group EHS network and wider (engineering, methods, production, administrative, project management…).
- Develop the training programs which will support the environment strategy and increase awareness and competencies within the Group.
- Participate in the key governance bodies to make sure environment is taken at the origin of every critical project or decision (including budget).
- Build and coordinate the group environment audit program and lead personally the most critical ones.
- Participate in the potential M&A and due diligence activities.
- Monitor the Group ISO 14001 implementation and support the local teams when necessary.
- Represent ROQUETTE in external organizations such as industrial associations.

- Engineer degree in technical, science, Environment or related.
- Strong professional experience in Environment risks (+ 15 years) with a strong background on design and corrective fields, acquired mainly in industries with international exposure.
- Knowledge of relevant environment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong risks and opportunities assessment competencies.
- Analysis tools and methods.
- Strong set of competencies in international group environment management.
- Large and in-depth experience in auditing (internal and external).
- ISO 14001 implementation (site and group supervision).
- Basic environmental technical & scientific knowledge in different domains such as: Pollution types and characteristics, environmental chemistry, laboratory analysis, soil pollutions, 3 phases analysis, etc.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
