Lead Systems Engineer - ICSS

NES Fircroft is excited to partner with a leading EPC Contractor to add a Lead Systems Engineer to their team for the FEED stage of a major clean energy project, in a PMC position.
This initiative focuses on developing a cutting-edge facility to process and export liquefied natural gas, aiming to increase production capacity by 30%. It includes constructing advanced infrastructure such as storage tanks, pipelines, and export terminals to support efficient and sustainable operations. The project also incorporates the latest technology to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency. It is a crucial part of the strategy to meet the rising global demand for cleaner energy sources.

Role Overview:

• Title: Lead Systems Engineer (ICSS)
• Contract: 12-month (renewable)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Paris, France

Responsibilities:

• Review technical scope and design of the plant ICSS systems. Review documentation, attend testing as required.
• Provide necessary input to project management team to ensure quality, schedule, and technical issues are managed effectively.
• Experience of managing technical scope for large ICSS (DCS, ESD, F&G, etc.) systems. Management of such systems from technical specification to detail design, delivery, installation, and commissioning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Control System/Instrumentation or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills:

• Overall 15+ years of experience.
• 12 years of experience in Control/Automation/Instrumentation related to LNG, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical industry, out of which at least 5 years in a control system design/engineering experience with EPC organization.
• 2 years in a similar position.

Professional Certifications:

• Any relevant certificate would be an advantage but not mandatory.
• Understanding and working knowledge of Functional Safety Management and the application of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511, ISA 99 for cyber security.

Language Skills:

Proficiency in French and English preferred.
