Sr Engineer IT Software

The Infrastructure Domain in Information Technology manages and maintains the client/server hardware and software that underpin an organizations computing environment. This domain covers various responsibilities, from IT logistics, virtualization, storage, containers, integration technologies, to data center management. Design and Implementation: Develop and implement robust IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, and storage systems. Maintenance and Support: Perform regular maintenance and updates to IT systems, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and support end-users. Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues escalated from Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, providing expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution. Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure compliance with security policies. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems. All you will need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training 5 years of experience with demonstrable hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving diverse PC desktop software and hardware issues Skills Required: IBM WebSphere 9, IBM Cognos 11.2, RHEL 8.9, Unix Scripting and IBM Cloud Must Have IBM WebSphere 9, IBM Cognos & IBM Cloud Good To Have RHEL 8.9, Unix Scripting Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience: Masters degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training Airline Industry experience Skills, Licenses & Certifications: All candidates will need the following: Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and perform in a collaborative, team-based environment Language, Communication Skills, & Physical Abilities Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with all organizational levels Physical ability necessary to perform the positions essential functions safely and successfully, with or without any legally required reasonable accommodations that do not pose an undue hardship.
