Your new company:
You will be joining an established Civil Engineering and Utilities organisation based in the Preston area working on multi-utility schemes for high-profile clients such as main contractors, house builders, and developers. They are a key player within utilities management, serving blue-chip clients such as ENW. Having secured more work on top of their already healthy order book, they are looking for a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their Utilities team.
Your new role:
As Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will be based in their office/local sites and be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value
• Managing subcontractor accounts
• Liaising with clients and other key project stakeholders
• Monitoring cash flow and valuation plans
• Managing subcontractor tender processes
• Providing accurate reports of costs and values of the projects on a weekly basis.

What you'll need to succeed:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in the utilities sector. Must have experience/in-depth knowledge of NEC 3 contracts.Proven track record of working on major utility projects.Strong analytical and numerical skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Familiarity with industry software and tools.Previous experience with utilities companies is highly desirable.A doer attitude and be able to liaise with clients, site teams and subcontractors.What you'll get in return:
