Job Description
I am currently recruiting on behalf of our key client who are working on one of the biggest and most prestigious civil engineering projects based in West Midlands.
They are looking to add an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team. Preferably from a Civil Engineering background, working for a Main Contractor or a Large Sub-Contractor.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveyoring
* A membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB
* Must experience in NEC form of contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Due to the size of the project you will working on a specific section of the scheme
* Lead cost management, from initial calculations to final figures
* Collaborate with Project and Commercial Managers to protect commercial interests
* Develop strong client relationships for smooth project progress
* Guide and support the development of other commercial team members
* Prepare subcontract invitations, evaluate bids, and place contracts accurately
