Job Advert: Electrician (Temporary)
Position: Electrician
Contract Type: Temporary, 1 Month contract
Possible Extension: Yes
Pay Rate: £17.12 per hour (PAYE)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours per week
Working Hours: 08:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Location: CH7 6NA Flintshire County Council Offices
Role Overview:
To carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements ranging from routine reactive repairs to complete rewiring of properties and other major refurbishment work in occupied and void housing properties and other Council-owned premises by best trade practice and current standards and regulations.Key Responsibilities:
To undertake all aspects of electrical repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements ranging from routine reactive repairs to major renewals and rewiring of occupied and void properties.
To identify and diagnose the causes of electrical faults to identify the most appropriate solution to be applied. Take account of the need to reduce repeat faults and visits and ensure the most cost-effective solution is applied under the circumstances.
Ensure all work is in compliance with current electrical regulations and standards and the safety of residents is maintained at all times.
To complete all repairs "Right First Time and to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
To maintain contact and work collaboratively with Repairs Team Supervisors and Planners to provide updates on the progress of work to ensure overall service objectives are met.
To ensure safe methods of working and full compliance with health & safety regulations are met at all times.
To maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current standards, regulations and best practices appropriate to your specialist trade.
To complete all documentation required for the proper running and administration of the service in an accurate and timely manner including; daily work records, time sheets, material schedules, requisitions and the like.Qualifications and Skills:
Social housing experience required
City and Guilds NVQ Electrical - Level 2&3 qualification OR equivalent qualification.
Current standard: 18th Edition requirements for electrical installations.
Full clean UK driving licence and own vehicle with business insurance.
