Job Title: Fabric Engineer
Location: West London (Sporting Venue)
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off (Days Only)
Employment Type: Temp to Perm
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Fabric Engineer to join our maintenance team on a temp-to-perm basis at a prestigious sporting venue in West London. This role is integral to ensuring the venue's facilities remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks to ensure the venue operates efficiently and safely.
* Respond to reactive maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
* Perform carpentry tasks, including repairs and installations as required.
* Undertake painting and decorating work to maintain the venue's high standards.
* Conduct routine water testing in compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Assist with general fabric maintenance tasks, including fixing doors, locks, flooring, and other minor repairs.
* Ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard, adhering to relevant health and safety procedures.
* Collaborate with other team members and contractors to deliver a seamless maintenance service.
Key Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in a similar Fabric Engineer or Maintenance role.
* Strong practical skills in carpentry, painting, and general building fabric maintenance.
* Experience in water hygiene and testing is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and maintenance schedules.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
* Relevant trade qualifications in carpentry, painting, or a related field (preferred).
* Health and Safety certifications (e.g., IOSH or equivalent) are advantageous.
