Design Manager

We are partnered with a multi-sector contractor who are looking for an enthusiastic Design Manager to join their team. Established in 2011, the company has continued to grow steadily and consistently and is an established and successful general contractor in the fiercely competitive North West construction arena.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee the transition from design concept to manufacturing and installation.
• Manage, coordinate, and develop project design information to ensure bids are comprehensive and compliant.
• Highlight buildability constraints and value engineering opportunities.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Pre-Construction and Construction teams.
• Provide design-related support to on-site Construction teams for effective coordination and compliance.
• Compliance Focus: Ensure the design process adheres to current legislation, standards, and codes of practice.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Substantial experience working as a Design Manager within the general contracting sector.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong customer focus with the ability to encourage client- engagement.

Good understanding of Construction processes and all aspects of buildability.

Great communication and interpersonal skills.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

Wide range of experience across most mainstream sectors such as industrial, residential or commercial.

Experience of project values in the region of £5M-20M.
