Location: London Borough Of Lambeth
Team: Early Help
Pay: Up to £38.50 ph
Contract: Full-time Locum

About the Role
The London Borough of Lambeth is seeking an experienced and resilient Senior Social Worker to join our Early Help Team within the Child Assessment Team (CAT). This is a front-line role in a fast-paced environment, working directly with children and families to deliver early intervention and support. As a Senior Social Worker, you will carry a manageable caseload and contribute to assessments that ensure the safety and well-being of children across Lambeth.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide timely interventions to support children and families, applying your expertise in early help and child protection.
Collaborate with various community-based organizations and services to deliver comprehensive support tailored to individual needs.
Attend the office at least twice a week to maintain direct collaboration with the team and participate in supervision and case discussions.
Engage with Lambeth’s Contextual Safeguarding, Court, and Early Help teams to access resources and services that support families effectively.
About You
We’re looking for a Senior Social Worker with a minimum of three years of post-qualification experience in a Child Assessment Team or similar front-line role. Key requirements include:
Qualifications: Degree in Social Work and Social Work England registration.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Child Assessment Team (CAT) work.
Skills: Strong resilience, adaptability, and a commitment to high-quality early intervention.
Location: Ability to commute to Lambeth with at least two days in the office each week (no on-site parking).
