About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe and compliant operation of our hazardous waste transfer facilities in Dewsbury . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hazardous waste management and hold a WAMITAB qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the facilities operate in full compliance with Environmental Permits, Planning Permissions, and relevant legislation.
* Meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements accurately and promptly.
* Manage and mentor staff, ensuring they are competent in their tasks and responsibilities.
* Drive operational efficiency and improve site productivity while maximizing throughput.
* Oversee transport logistics to ensure efficient loading and unloading of materials.
* Communicate effectively with various departments to align site operations with business goals.
* Maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
* Manage the Hazardous P&L, including sales and costs.
* Ensure timely completion and submission of Waste Returns.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in hazardous waste management is essential.
* WAMITAB certification is required.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
