Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington
If you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor who's looking for the next step in their career, this is a great opportunity to join one of the leading Tier 1 construction companies in the UK, with a turnover exceeding £1b annually and a healthy order book of exciting projects for the future.
The company work on a variety of projects in the industrial, residential, commercial, leisure and sport sectors with projects ranging in value from £10m - £300m.
Due to the growth within the business and their continued success they are now looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Warrington.
The role - Senior Quantity Surveyor
As a Senior Quantity you be an integral part of the team and will take the lead on a large £15m industrial unit in Manchester. You will be reporting into the Commercial Manager overseeing the project and will be responsible for the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client.
Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement.
Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
Advice when required on cost management, or value management.
Maintaining quality control procedures.
Health & Safety management.
Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
Ensure cash flow is maximized.
Required skills and knowledge as a Project Quantity Surveyor?
A degree/equivalent qualification (HNC/HND).
At least 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying position.
Have a strong Main Contractor background.
