Operational Technology (OT) Security Engineer (m/f/d)
As the OT Security Engineer and Site OT Security Champion, you will lead the cybersecurity and data collection strategy for our Operational Technology (OT) systems. You will be responsible for ownership, maintenance, and continuous innovation of site OT infrastructure, including implementing and maintaining cybersecurity measures to protect critical assets. This role requires a hands-on approach to business-as-usual (BAU) support, including OT network changes to VLANs, IP allocations, firewall rulesets, and regular gap analysis to ensure compliance and security with GSC OT Security Standards.
You will also oversee and optimise data collection systems, digitally integrate secondary manufacture and packaging equipment, and implement innovation initiatives to enable secure, seamless data flow between OT and IT environments for GxP and non-GxP Data. You will be responsible for the OT Infrastructure that these systems are hosted on and provide BAU support when OT-related issues arise.
As a trusted site resource, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable secure data-driven insights while safeguarding operational integrity, enhancing site resilience, and aligning with industry best practices and company standards.

Key responsibilities:
- Be the site point of contact for global OT security teams and Champion OT Security for the Site, leading the response to OT security alerts and driving adherence to global standards e.g. off net connections, third party vendor management, removable device management, patch management, disaster recovery planning etc.
- Support the OT Security and Digital requirements of Capital Projects to ensure that new systems are introduced with digital-first intent with secure architectures and are compliant with OT/Data Standards, working with client and project team members to develop proposals.
- Manage and embed Digital Tools to improve Digitalisation and Security at site (For example, the OT Integration Layer, EBRS integration, OT Virtual Machine Infrastructure, SailPoint, PMP, Data Historian, Active Directory and 3D Printing).
- Provide BAU Support and for OT systems and the infrastructure they are hosted on and provide technical expertise in OT Security, Networks, Controls and Automation to the rest of the engineering team at site.
- Lead the Site Implementation of new OT Digital Systems in accordance with the site Digital Strategy, including all aspects of OT network connectivity and data collection.
- Create and maintain Digital and Security Standards for new and existing systems, ensuring they are implemented and continuously improved.

Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Foundation degree in engineering discipline with a minimum HNC or equivalent
- Preferably Bachelor's degree in relevant technial subject, i.e. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
- Multiple years of engineering experience in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry.
- Expertise in at least one project area; Pharmaceutical Equipment, Utilities or OT Security.
- Experience working with Digital Systems/Connectivity.
- Good planning and communication skills and deliver projects to achieve Business requirements.
