Job Description
One of London’s oldest contracting businesses trading over 100 years, our client are an industry recognised brand having delivered some of the UK’s and London’s most Iconic projects. They hold a very strong portfolio and track record of delivering major Data Centre schemes as both GC and MEP Subcontractor. Five core services areas are Engineering Services, Technologies, Infrastructure, Residential and Hotels, Facilities Management.
Holding its Engineering values in high regard, they are the go-to contractor for major projects due to their unique model which maintains holding a large core of direct workforce and skilled Engineering and management teams.
As an employer their retention of staff is hard to beat with many of the leadership team working up from apprentice and others having long standing careers to retirement. Recently they have also been bought out by a private investor from the Gas Industry, currently turning over in excess of £400 Million they to break the £500 Million turnover mark in the coming years with a large cash injection behind them to help in the growth plans.
Position: Document Controller – Essex – £180 - £250 per day
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Dealing with timesheets
* Checking dispatch documents are accurate.
* Update the revisions on drawings and as built drawings.
* Printing and scanning documents for supervisors and site manager.
* Ensuring all documented information relating to the project is going through to document management system.
* Downloading/uploading, production of workflow reports/schedules
* Managing booking delivery slots
* Scanning and management of weekly notes to head office.
* Assistance with QA documents.
* To label, log, store and process all sample approvals.
* Establish and maintain a Request for Information log.
* Liaise with consultants/contractors to ensure that all parties are working to the correct
* drawings and other design documents, and to ensure that all parties are issuing documents correctly.
* Keep up to date copies of each drawing and other design/ approval documents on site for the use of the Project Team
* Checking of induction forms to make sure operatives have the correct CSCS card for their job role and making sure CMs have seen their paperwork – skills card leaflet highlighting the correct cards will be issued by HSQE advisor.
* Weekly issue of toolbox talks to the subcontractors to ensure we cover all bases.
* QA Check all RAMS which are sent over by the project team making sure all dates/revisions match and all information like COSSHH/HAVS data sheets are within.
* Booking in operatives for induction.
* Holiday Chart for all staff on the project.
* Labour Returns.
* Collection of H&S paperwork.
* Numbering and Identification of Documents.
