Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MIG and TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to fabricate and assemble metal components to meet specifications. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all welding tasks.
Duties
* Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
* Fabricate and assemble metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal components.
* Conduct routine inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project requirements.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to welding processes or equipment.
* Apply basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Experience
* Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding is essential; familiarity with stick welding is advantageous.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and blueprints.
* Experience working with sheet metal and various types of metals is preferred.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
* A commitment to safety practices in a workshop environment is crucial.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction setting will be beneficial
