Job Description
Machinist / Fabricator - Permanent - Cambuslang - Upwards of £18ph - Day shift Monday to Friday
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled Manual Machinist to join our maintenance team, specialising in the upkeep and repair of large-scale Construction/Rail vehicles & Machines. You will perform manual turning, MIG welding, and general fabrication to ensure machinery is maintained and operational.

Key Responsibilities:
Machinery Maintenance: Perform manual turning, MIG welding, and fabrication for the repair and maintenance of large construction/Rail vehicles
Welding & Fabrication: Carry out MIG welding and fabricate custom parts for repairs.
Preventative Maintenance: Help with scheduled maintenance to ensure machinery reliability.
Health & Safety: Follow safety protocols, using PPE and adhering to workshop safety standards.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Manual Machinist in a maintenance setting.
Skilled in manual turning.
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience with MIG welding and fabrication.
Familiarity with construction & Rail vehicles/Machinery and mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Forklift or crane certification (optional).
Working Conditions:
Full-time, workshop-based position with occasional overtime.
Exposure to heavy machinery in a dynamic environment.Benefits
