Job Title: Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Hull
Salary: £84 - £97 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2025 or Sooner
Contract Type: Day-to-Day/Long Term, Full-Time/Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join an inclusive school in Hull,starting in January 2025 (or sooner).
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, whether on a one-to-one basis or within small groups. Your role will be integral to helping these students access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide tailored support to students with a variety of special educational needs, helping them to access lessons and complete tasks.
Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment, supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Assist teachers in creating and implementing learning plans that meet the specific requirements of students with SEN.
Encourage and support students in their social, emotional, and academic development.
Work closely with the class teacher to monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
Help manage student behavior in a constructive and positive manner, ensuring a safe learning environment.
What We Are Looking for in an SEN TA:
A passion for working with students with special educational needs and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.
Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
An empathetic and patient attitude towards students with diverse needs.
A commitment to making a positive impact on the learning experiences of students.

Have an enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
