Regional Sales Manager – Surgical – Scotland & North East England

As a Surgical Regional Sales Manager, you will report into the National Sales Manager. The RSM is mainly responsible for facilitating sales outcomes through day-to-day coaching, personal development and motivation of your sales team, working across the Surgical portfolio, comprising Cataract and Vitreo-retinal. In this role, a typical day will include:
- To take ownership and accountability for developing customer partnership relationships with the aim of developing mutually beneficial outcomes for our customers and our brands.
- Being Fully accountable for regional business decisions and planning
- Managing a multi-disciplinary sales team
- Providing on-going coaching to strengthen appropriate skills and knowledge in a stimulating work environment
- Achieving results through establishing strong cross functional relationships across all internal stakeholders
- Working closely with the marketing team to ensure marketing strategy is implemented while providing regular feedback from the field on all areas pertinent to the on-going success of the brands.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
- We are interested in those from a global multinational company and ideally with knowledge and experience in the Ophthalmology or Medical Devices environments who can demonstrate strong business acumen and leadership skills.
- You will have proven management experience of leading and developing high performing sales teams as well as being inspirational, strategically minded and tactical.
- Relationships are key and having a drive to understand customer businesses and identify needs is important as well as having the ability to challenge and sell using insights.
- Having a proven record of accomplishment and a great learning agility is a must as well as being highly organized and a strong communicator.
- A motivated and driven individual who can show us that they can achieve great things and bring something extra to this high performing team.
- Agility and creativity in looking for solutions to our customer and company needs.
- Highly organised and good communication skills at all levels.
- Proven experience in developing and establishing successful key relationships and delivering excellent standards of customer service
- Good Commercial awareness/business acumen
- Adaptable/Flexible
- Holder of a current full driving license
