SAP MDM Consultant
Shropshire (Office-based approx. 8 times per month)
Salary: £70,000 - £95,000 (permanent role) depending on candidates experience

We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Governance/Management (MDM) Consultant to contribute to critical data initiatives and drive the success of our transformation programmes. This role offers a blend of hands-on work and leadership responsibilities, providing the opportunity to collaborate with various business functions and stakeholders to streamline data management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end SAP MDM implementation, ensuring effective governance and data quality.
- Take ownership of Master Data processes, from the initial strategy and framework development to day-to-day operations.
- Work hands-on to configure, customise, and enhance SAP MDM to meet the business's evolving needs.
- Partner with stakeholders from various departments (Finance, Supply Chain, IT) to ensure the governance framework aligns with overall business objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of data specialists and provide direction on best practices for SAP MDM.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and regulations.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to communicate progress and address any challenges.
- Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to business users on SAP MDG/MDM functionalities.
- Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven expertise in SAP MDM, with a strong track record of successful implementations and ongoing management.
- Demonstrated experience in master data management and governance frameworks across large-scale organisations.
- Hands-on experience in configuring and enhancing SAP MDM, including data models, UI modelling, BRF+, and workflow.
- Strong understanding of SAP integration points with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, FICO, and HCM.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid experience in stakeholder management, with a focus on ensuring alignment between business and technical teams.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while handling multiple priorities.
- A consultative mindset with problem-solving abilities and a drive for continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in data governance and data quality management in a SAP environment.
- SAP MDG & or MDM certification would be a very strong advantage.
- Experience in working with SAP S/4HANA environments.
