This is an exceptional opportunity to manage compliance and operational services within our Finance/Insurance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our Banking Centres adhere to established procedures while supporting sales, management, and regulatory compliance functions. The Manager personal Banking Administration Compliance & Operations will be the designated Banking Centre Champion for Compliance and Operational initiatives. This individual will report directly to the SR Manager, Personal & Prestige, and responsibilities will include providing compliance oversight to team members in Commercial, Cash Management, and Personal Banking. Join us and help shape the future of banking at CWB Day to day Accountability 1 - Compliance Support Support the achievement of the Banking Centre or District's compliance objectives through effective management and enforcement of existing Bank policies and guidelines. Collaborate with the Commercial, Cash Management, and Personal Banking teams to verify and ensure the accurate delivery and collection of internal documentation, including Banking Centre Out of Order Report, AML and KYC reports, FACTA reporting, and FSIS monitoring. Act as the Banking Centre Subject Matter Expert and advocate for the enforcement of Client Privacy, the Consumer Protection ACT, Canada's Anti-Spam Law, and potential 3rd party demands. Identify issues and address any important concerns or obstacles that may arise in business activities, procedures, and documentation, bringing them up to the leader as appropriate. This includes mentoring and developing the team in understanding, collecting, and inputting accurate KYC/AML client data to ensure compliance with the Client Profile. Verification of KYC/AML inputs for accuracy is crucial prior to product setup. Ensure standardized processes are followed and data integrity is consistently achieved, supervised, and maintained. Accountability 2 - Operational Support Contribute to the development, implementation, and optimization of banking compliance and operations. Help banking centres achieve efficient audit results by verifying and entering accurate client data into T24, aligning with KYC/AML guidelines, and resolving any issues that arise. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reviews to identify and resolve deficiencies, serving as the Subject Matter Expert on daily activity logs and client data processing. Ensure adherence to procedures to prevent potential operational losses, supervise and follow up on Banking Centre complaints, and provide support to various managerial roles. Ensure compliance tasks are completed satisfactorily in accordance with the Banking Centre security binder and diary. Accountability 3 - Awareness, Education, and Cultivation of Relationships Serve as the primary contact for Compliance matters within your Banking Centre or District, providing training and support to the team on Compliance and Operations. Foster positive relationships with internal and external partners to deliver services that align with CWB's brand promise. Maintain confidentiality of customer transactions, embodying CWB's values of integrity, accountability, respect, common sense, and caring, and demonstrating strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Foster personal growth and development, ensure timely completion of compliance training, and cultivate a culture of trust, integrity, and respect among all collaborators. Education High School graduation or equivalent experience. Financial designation or post-secondary education in business studies preferred (may be offset with experience). Professional Experience 5 years financial services experience within functions of risk management, banking, and/or business. Experience in compliance and operational support supplemented by well-developed skills in document analysis and knowledge of effective risk mitigation strategies for banking platforms. Demonstrated competence in compliance, coaching, mentoring, and effective communication skills. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with good judgment and efficiency in managing productivity. Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate, working seamlessly across business divisions and corporate office departments. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and expert knowledge of collateral security and documentation requirements. Strong computer and business modeling skills.
