What the role is all about: We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst (5-8 years experience) to join REA Cyber City. This position sits in the SPACE function of the Platforms and Data Tribe within the Technology & Data Group. The SPACE team is responsible for driving REAs internal tooling, infrastructure, and making all delivery teams at REA more effective. We work on a wide range of technical products and solutions as required by other groups across the company, such as cloud deployment tools, CI/CD pipelines, networking, security, monitoring and deployment. As Lead BA, you will be responsible for defining and documenting detailed requirements with product management, ensuring they are well understood by delivery teams, and providing regular analysis and support of our growing system and data footprint. This role will require excellent communication and collaborative involvement through all stages of product development from concept and requirements through inception, specification, development, testing, release and retirement. While no two days are likely to be the same, your typical responsibilities will include: Identifying the highest values areas / systems to be migrating and developing processes and tooling to assist in that migration process. Extensive requirements gathering from product managers, analysts, tech leads and other business stakeholders to ensure business needs and use cases are met. Collaborate with the development team to test features and implement shift-left testing practices, ensuring early and frequent testing throughout the development lifecycle. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into requirements and data specifications for technical solutions Ensuring these requirements are well understood by delivery teams through story kick offs and constant communication. Analysing business processes, workflows and user journeys using techniques such as process maps, value stream maps and story boards. Identifying and communicating any requirement dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process. Fostering a high-performance culture by promoting accountability, excellence, and continuous learning within the team Work closely with Delivery Lead and Engineering manager running agile scrum ceremonies and producing agile artefacts. Who were looking for: Experience in workshop facilitation and requirements elicitation techniques. Exposure to technical specification writing skills. Enjoys conversing with both end-users and different stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Understanding of all aspects of the systems/software agile development cycle. Knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, familiarity with containerization technologies Knowledge of Internal Developer Platforms would be highly advantageous. Experienceworking withcloud services we useAmazon Web Services, but similar experience is ok. An understanding of programming, system design, IT infrastructure and database concepts.
