About the school:

Our school is a beautiful, well-resourced building where each day celebrates learning, respect, and growth. We balance a strong commitment to Jewish traditions with the broader National Curriculum, creating a harmonious blend that develops well-rounded, compassionate students. Torah values such as justice, peace, and respect are woven into our daily routines and curriculum, ensuring that all students understand the importance of contributing positively to their community and the world. We strive to empower students to be thoughtful, engaged individuals who carry forward these core values alongside a comprehensive education.

With extensive resources, a close-knit team, and a strong commitment to professional development, you’ll be part of a supportive, values-driven community that understands the importance of individual learning needs. The school’s commitment to excellence in secular education includes a varied curriculum, dynamic learning environments, and a calendar filled with meaningful activities for everyone in our community.

About the role:

In this vital SEN TA role, you’ll work directly with students facing SEMH challenges, helping them build resilience and confidence within a nurturing, safe space. You will support classroom learning, work one-on-one, and guide small groups, addressing individual needs through customised interventions. This role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to foster positive relationships with children, offering them guidance and encouragement that nurtures both academic and social development.

You’ll work closely with teachers and the school’s SENCO, implementing strategies tailored to each student’s needs, monitoring progress, and adapting approaches to help students manage emotional regulation, improve social skills, and engage fully in the school community. With regular training and support from a highly experienced team, you’ll have access to all the tools and resources needed to make a significant impact.

Application Requirements:

• Experience in supporting students with SEMH needs in a primary setting.
• Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and a patient, compassionate approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, inclusive team environment.
• Commitment to the school’s values and ethos, supporting the integration of Jewish and British values.
• Relevant qualifications in education or child development are a plus but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in Key Stages 1 and 2 with SEMH needs, providing consistent encouragement and guidance.
• Implement targeted interventions, both one-on-one and in small groups, to aid emotional and social development.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to ensure strategies align with each child’s individual needs.
• Maintain open communication with staff and, when appropriate, with families, fostering a unified approach to student wellbeing.
• Encourage student participation in class and school-wide activities, promoting positive social skills and self-confidence.

Perks and Benefits:

As a valued team member, you’ll receive extensive support, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to work in a school where your input is truly valued. We offer competitive day rates and a welcoming community atmosphere that fosters learning and collaboration. Join us in our mission to make a difference not only in the lives of our students but also within our supportive, values-driven community.
