Job Title: Commercial Manager
Location: Saffron Walden
Salary: Circa £50,000
Term: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday
RecruitAbility are looking for an experienced commercial manager, to join their fast growing, niche client in Saffron Walden. This is an exciting opportunity to build strong relationships with key customers in both the UK and overseas, whilst leading a small team to help grow the revenue. When you are not out seeing clients, then you will be based in the office in Saffron Walden, with your team. There is career growth potential within a thriving industry, for the right person.
The Role of Commercial Manager:
Lead and manage the client onboarding process from initial inquiry to close.
Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base.
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Provide regular reports and feedback to the senior management team.
Manage and support a small team, creating systems where necessary to ensure seamless, client orientated operations.
Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email.
Create and implement internal procedures to monitor the incoming business pipeline.
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget.
Visit clients on site as required, both in the UK and overseas. To be considered for the role of Commercial Manager:
At least 3 years of proven experience in commercial management, preferably within the technical, defence, or medical sectors.
Demonstrated success in a similar role, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards would be beneficial.
Experience managing long-term customer relationships, both in the UK and internationally.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage both internal teams and external customers.
Commercially aware, with strong financial skills to manage budgets and forecasting.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a methodical approach.
Ability to work under pressure and make decisive decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
Self-motivated, professional, and able to travel both nationally and internationally. Additional Requirements:
Valid UK driving license.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
A CSCS construction card is beneficial but not essential.
The Package for Sales Manager:
Salary: Circa £50,000
Hours: Monday – Friday (This may differ depending on company travel requirements)

20 day holiday (excluding bank holidays)
