Job Description
Boden Group deliver facilities maintenance services and project works to the Ministry of Defence and commercial clients at multiple sites in the South West and South East.
Join our team as a Construction/Lead Estimator, where you'll be at the forefront of driving success in our projects.
This role can be based at one of our offices in Barnstaple, Tiverton, or Amesbury, with an element of travel required.
We offer:

Role overview:
* You’ll prepare and submit detailed tenders on time, secure competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, and calculate project costs with precision.
* Your role involves risk assessment and proposing strategies to keep projects on track. You'll collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and the commercial team, while also engaging with clients to clarify requirements and negotiate terms.
* Stay ahead of industry trends and contribute to improving our estimating accuracy through innovative tools and processes.
* Lead and allocate team workloads efficiently, develop strategic estimating approaches, and align processes with business goals alongside the Commercial Manager. Your expertise will ensure every estimate is comprehensive, precise, and aligned with our standards.
* You'll also be a key client contact during tenders, work with senior leadership to forecast opportunities, and analyse past project performance to shape future success.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Essential:
* Proven experience (3+ years) as an Estimator, preferably within the construction industry and with exposure to commercial and MOD contracts - familiarity with MOD procurement processes and contract frameworks is advantageous.
* Proficient in using industry-standard estimation software and tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Familiarity with construction contracts, legislation, and industry standards.
