Job Description
This leading Design and Build company are committed to delivering high-quality architectural solutions, from project inception to completion. Their team works on a wide range of exciting projects, and are looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join them in their mission to create precise, high-quality architectural production drawings and documents.
Job Purpose:
The Technical Designer will integrate with and work alongside key members of the design team, helping to deliver high-quality architectural production drawings and information for both costing and construction purposes. This role will require taking ownership for individual projects, ensuring timely and accurate production of detailed information. You will be attending site meetings, leading all technical elements on a projects and resolve any technical issues at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake site surveys as required
Liaise with local authorities, including planning officers and building control
Attend site/project meetings and build relationships with clients and contractors
Prepare architectural tender and construction information
Conduct design coordination and buildability reviews, including M&E coordination
Provide mentorship to junior technicians to help grow the team's capabilities Skills & Experience:
Fully proficient in AutoCAD
Strong working knowledge of M&E coordination
Experience with planning and building control regulations
3-10 years of experience in a commercial office architectural/fit-out environment
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and colleagues Key Attributes:
A sense of pride in producing accurate, high-quality information
Willingness to contribute to continual improvements in the team and production processes
