Food Technology Teacher
Location: Southampton, UK
Salary: M1 to M6 (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2024 (or sooner if available)
The Role
We are looking for an inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join the Design and Technology department at a Southampton secondary school. You will:
Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that develop students' practical and theoretical skills.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Ensure a safe and well-managed learning environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject.
Be passionate about Food Technology and inspiring students to succeed.
Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
