Job Description
First People Solutions are working in partnership with a leading company in the utilities sector. We are looking for a Waste Water Supervisor for Repair & Maintenance projects in the East of Scotland
As a skilled Waste Water Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of operational excellence, overseeing Health, Safety, Environment, Quality, Fleet, Operational Delivery, and Customer Experience. Your focus will be on managing teams and performance, while identifying opportunities to improve work practices and service delivery as you settle into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operational teams to prioritise safety in all activities.
Ensure teams receive the necessary training to meet competency and compliance standards.
Foster a culture of "right first time" to minimise customer complaints.
Proactively manage future works and programs, reducing disruptions and avoidable errors.
Review and approve contractor method statements and risk assessments.
Conduct regular safety audits to identify hazards and implement controls.
Manage vehicles and drivers to ensure compliance with driving standards and the highway code.What We're Looking For:
Experience in a similar supervision role within the utilities/water sector, particularly in wastewater repair and maintenance.
A health & safety qualification, such as IOSH
Desirable qualifications include NRSWA, SMSTS/SSSTS, and CDM training.
Full UK driving license.
Strong people management skills, capable of overseeing multiple teams.
Excellent communication, diplomacy, and decision-making abilities.
