Job Title: Academy Business Manager
Location: Secondary School in Peterborough
Contract Term: Full-Time
Salary: £41,623.00 - £51,856.00 Annually (FTE)
Start Date: ASAP
We are recruiting an experienced and proactive Academy Business Manager for a secondary school in Peterborough. This role is crucial in supporting the Head Teacher and ensuring operational excellence across various school functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Collaborate with the Head Teacher to enhance operational efficiency in Estates, Finance, HR, and Administration.
Oversee school administrative support, including cleaning and catering services.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and site management.Financial Management & Control:
Prepare budgets and financial forecasts with the school finance team.
Monitor financial performance and ensure value for money.
Manage financial transactions, payroll, and compliance with the Anthem Financial Handbook.
Support income generation through grants and fundraising initiatives.Facilities & Estates Management:
Maintain and manage the School Asset Management plan and oversee site maintenance and security.
Coordinate capital works and ensure effective management of ancillary services.
Support IT services and facility setup for on-site events.Human Resource Management:
Oversee recruitment, training, and development of operational support staff.
Implement and monitor HR policies in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and HR Team.
Ensure compliance with Equal Opportunity policies and promote diversity.Procurement:
Manage procurement processes and contracts, ensuring value for money and adherence to Trust policies.
Support Trust-wide procurement initiatives.Administration:
Maintain the school website and manage educational visits.
Act as Data Protection Lead and ensure compliance with child protection and data protection policies.
Support additional administrative duties as required.Community Engagement:
Oversee administration of school lettings and support the promotion of the Academy.
Facilitate communication with families and the local community, reporting to the Anthem Community Council.
