I am seeking a talented and experienced Maintenance Manager with experience creating and implementing maintenance plans to a team of maintenance Engineers. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the reliability and maintenance strategy across our manufacturing facility. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement proactive maintenance programs, identify and resolve equipment issues, and optimize asset utilisation. The ideal candidate has a strong background in team management, maintenance engineering, and maintenance planning, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role holder will work to ensure the most effective use of engineering resources ensuring compliance to Health & Safety and Food safety.
To co-ordinate Mechanical &Electrical sub-contract labour wherever required
To ensure and carry out where necessary all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities are undertaken as per the PPM schedule and to identify where schedules can not be maintained.
To develop contingencies, suggest corrective measures, and implement to resolve repeat occurrences of reactive faults in order to reduce the level of repeat faults affecting the overall level of contract service.
To ensure full 24/7 maintenance cover across the week
To control and monitor overtime within budget constraints
Any other reasonable task as requested by your manager
Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in engineering (preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering) or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry or a related industry.
In-depth knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance planning, and asset management strategies. Lean Manufacturing Processes.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
