Job Description

The Role

Fulfilment & Logistics Manager - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract, potential to become permanent.

Working in a small team, the Fulfilment & Logistics Manager will be a hands on role, responsible for overseeing and documenting all warehouse operations. This will involve managing a small team, controlling stock, and ensuring timely and efficient incoming and outgoing shipments.

You will also be tasked with assessing current fulfilment practices and identify improvements in efficiency and process. The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide a team effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise a small team, providing guidance and support.
  • Documentation of existing warehouse processes with warehouse team leader.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in processing orders.
  • Stock control: Scheduling/planning of incoming and outgoing goods, including inventory management, and reporting discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transport companies to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  • Prepare reports on warehouse operations for management review.
  • Assist in training new employees and fostering a positive team environment.
  • Travel to London site approximately once every two weeks to help coordinate shipping at the secondary location with warehouse assistant.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in warehouse, fulfilment or logistics, preferably in a related industry.
  • Experience of global exports with their specific documentation/processes.
  • Strong team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Some manual lifting will be required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel.

Based in Ledbury.

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Salary £32,000 - £37,000.
