Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join our team in Southwark, London. In this exciting and fulfilling role, you'll work alongside a supportive team of educators to help our young learners thrive academically and emotionally during these foundational years.

Location: Southwark, London
Salary: £80-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

What's the role about?

As a Year 1/2 Teacher, you will be an integral part of our team, guiding students on their academic journey and creating an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. You'll have the freedom to design and deliver interactive lessons that spark curiosity, foster creativity, and promote a love of learning in each child.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the Year 1/2 curriculum, ensuring every child is actively involved in their learning and able to progress at their own pace.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and developing key skills.
  • Support the academic, social, and emotional development of students, fostering a passion for learning and helping them grow in literacy, numeracy, and beyond.
  • Work closely with other teachers to share ideas, collaborate on best practices, and continually improve the learning experience for your students.


What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2).
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1, with the ability to design engaging and differentiated lessons for students of all abilities.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children, along with the creativity and energy to inspire and motivate them.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach to teaching, with a focus on ongoing professional development and improvement.
  • Strong classroom management skills, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
