Job Description
Vision for Education are are currently seeking a qualified SEN Teacher for work within our partner SEN school settings across East Lancashire to start in January 2025. Areas include: Blackburn, Accrington, Burnley, Nelson and Colne.
About the role
The teacher role involves teaching groups of children with additional needs such as ASD, PMLD, MLD and Social, emotional and mental health needs. Roles can be flexible, both day-to-day supply roles and consistent longer-term placements which can lead to permanent contracts following qualifying periods.
You will hold substantial subject knowledge and will be able to inspire and nurture pupils to a higher level of learning. You will also be responsible for organising the supporting staff in the classroom.
Your daily routine will involve continuously adapting and working alongside pupils to make their time in school as beneficial and productive as possible. Your main objective will be to support these pupils with this, as well as making sure they are not displaying any triggers or any signs of unease. Adaptability, patience and an resilient attitude will be key to success in this role.

They support diverse group of pupils with a range of complex learning needs, social and emotional difficulties and challenging behaviours. We are continually seeking quality caring staff members, who with additional experience and training may eventually become full time or even supply staff members.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teacher you will:
Have previous experience of working with children or young people; ideally within a school, nursery, childcare, youth work, play or care setting within the last 2 years.
We must be able to obtain valid references from these roles.
Hold, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS, registered to the Update Service
Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Salary
£130 to £200 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
