Job Description
Mac Recruit Group require a Crane Supervisor for our client, a worldwide leading engineering company. Based in Glasgow, you will lead lift and rigging teams on site and cover various other areas required. Please note this is a permanent job.
Crane Supervisor duties:
* Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting operations, including the use of cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment.
* Ensure that all lifting operations are conducted safely and efficiently, adhering to relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of lifting equipment inspections, certifications, and maintenance activities.
* Document all lifting operations, including load weights, equipment used, and personnel involved, ensuring proper documentation for audits and inspections.
* Provide training and guidance to crew members involved in lifting operations, ensuring they are knowledgeable about safe lifting practices and proper use of equipment.
* Work closely with other departments, such as deck and engineering, to coordinate lifting operations, particularly during cargo handling or ship maintenance activities.
* Liaise with external contractors or service providers involved in lifting operations.
Crane Supervisor requirements:
* CPCS Crane / Lift Supervisor - Blue Card (Essential)
* CPCS Slinger Signaller - Blue Card (Essential)
* Excellent knowledge of LOLER Regs 1998 and BS 7121
Crane Supervisor shifts and working hours available:
* 35 – 40 hours a week plus optional overtime
* Night shift 9:30pm – 7.00am (4 days)
* Weekend shift Friday - Sunday 7am - 7:30pm
* Day shifts 7am - 4:30am
Salary:
* Depending on qualifications and experience – plus additional allowances
* 33% allowance night shift and weekend shift
