Class 2 HGV Driver - Cheltenham

Class 2, Category C HGV Drivers

Due to ongoing training and expansion, Cotteswold Dairy are looking for motivated and reliable Category C Drivers to join the Distribution team at the busy Cheltenham Depot. The successful applicant will have a clean UK driving licence Category C or above; and experience of working night shifts.

The Class 2 HGV Driver Role

As a representative of Cotteswold Dairy, quality and customer service will be at the heart of this position. Our drivers unload the product for our customers, so a reasonable level of physicality is required. Routes are intensive multidrop, from our Cheltenham Depot. We would be pleased to consider applicants who are newly qualified, and the company will support new pass drivers to become solid and competent drivers.

Key duties will include:

• Safely driving an appropriate vehicle in line with your licence category, remaining courteous at all times while delivering excellent customer service and building good customer relationships
• The punctual delivery of dairy and dairy related products to semi-retail customers on multi-drop rounds, observing stock rotation and conducting your duties to the highest standards
• Being a team player, with the ability to work well alone, problem solving on the road

Working Hours †

Full time, 48 hours per week (rostered average). Night-time hours through to morning as required over seven days per week on a rota basis. In order to comply with the Working Time Directive, this will be averaged out over a period of 26 weeks

Start times vary based on the individual rounds, however most rounds commence between 2200 and 0200. As with most driving roles, this position is job + finish.

You will have a positive attitude, and have a keen eye for detail; be reliably able to commute to work at the shift times indicated, and be flexible to work the full shift pattern
