Contract: Full-time or Part-time options available
Salary: £100-£130 a day
About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a productive learning environment for students while covering for absent teachers. This role is a fantastic stepping stone for EAL teachers who want to broaden their experience, build confidence in classroom management, and explore new opportunities within the education sector.
Responsibilities:
Supervise classes across a variety of subjects, following lesson plans provided by the absent teacher.
Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment, especially for students with diverse language needs.
Encourage positive behavior and provide additional support to EAL learners to ensure they understand instructions and can fully engage in lessons.
Assist with any additional duties as required by the school.
About You:
Qualified and experienced EAL teacher with a passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Confident in managing classrooms, even without a subject-specialist background.
Able to adapt quickly and think on your feet, providing a supportive environment for all students.
