With the above in mind: -
The Integrated Supply chain is looking for a Supplier Performance Manager to join a thriving team. This role is Tewkesbury based plus some (REMOTE) with extensive travel within the UK & Europe and is part of the Commercial Aircraft Group based at our Tewkesbury facility in the UK,
The Supplier Performance Manager will be reporting to the Regional Supplier Development Manager and will be responsible for the short-term recovery Project Management and on-the-ground Joint Improvement Plan/Supplier Improvement Plans within their allocated suppliers.
The successful Candidate will be remote and be the face of the Integrated Supply Chain within the UK and Europe with the support of the ISC team based out of the UK. USA & Asia.
It is a major part of this role that you can communicate with the supplier at all levels

Main responsibilities of the role:
Plan and execute recovery and transition project activities.
Be the onsite presence for Moog in key suppliers.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams dedicated to supplier development and recovery efforts.
Identify what required functions are needed to support supplier improvement projects.
Plan and facilitate suppliers visits.
Plan and coordinate project-dedicated resources and stakeholders.
Identify, report, and mitigate project risks.
Report project progress to the Regional Supplier Development Manager and escalate if required.
Carry out capacity and capability assessments and identify areas for improvement.
The SPM will be expected to have the breadth and knowledge to effectively optimize supplier recovery and development.
Managing the supplier from a Supplier Development and build the Moog relationship, ensuring they are a key negotiator in the partnership.

Required for the position:
Ability to travel throughout the UK Europe along with occasional were required trips further afield with notice supplied.
An understanding of Program/project management skills are critical to the role.
Preferred but not essential is a bachelors degree level education (vocational, professional, or advanced), in the fields of engineering, supply chain, or business.
Greater than 5 years of progressive experience (usually post education) in the field of manufacturing or engineering (preferably Aerospace, Automotive Marine)
Good negotiating skills
Strong communication skills are required in the form of written, verbal, and formal presentation. Incumbent should have the ability to effectively communicate with, and influence, the supplier along with the Operation Group staff, which is made up of many disciplines, at all management levels. This also includes communications with Moog internal and external stakeholders.
The individual must be able to deal with a variety of tasks at any one time and understand the priorities. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Moderate to heavy travel to suppliers involved (50%-70% of the time, along with being able to plan their own day and agenda to get the best out of the supplier often with little notice).
