Job Description
We are working with a well respected M&E contractor with a strong presence across the commercial, healthcare and life science sectors delivering M&E packages between £5m-£30m who are looking for a senior mechanical estimator to join their team based from their head office in Kings X.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the mechanical estimating process for high-profile projects, with a focus on healthcare, science labs, and other technical builds.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material take-offs, labour, and equipment pricing.
• Collaborate closely with the pre-construction team to deliver accurate and competitive bids.
• Evaluate and negotiate tenders, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project specifications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide value engineering solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
About You:
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with a background in healthcare, laboratories, and other technical projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a track record of successful project bids.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A proactive approach to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions.
