Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Preston
Role Type: Permanent
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Package
About the Role:
A prominent construction company is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, valued up to £10 million, including industrial, residential, and commercial schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates
Monitor project costs and identify potential cost savings
Manage variations and claims
Prepare and submit interim and final accounts
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify potential issues
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditionsAbout You:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience:
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on industrial, residential, and commercial projects
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
