Job title: Senior Operations Engineer (Electrical)
Location: Barrow-In-Furness - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: £45,383+ (dependent on skills and experience)
What you'll be doing:
* Support all Weapon Systems UK products both in the UK and overseas, ensuring all operational activities are carried out in line with relevant safety requirements
* You will provide Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP) input to electrical elements of Weapon Systems UK current & future portfolio
* Ongoing electrical maintenance of reference equipment and completion of monthly maintenance checks, strip and survey reports
* Conduct electrical function checks and fault investigations
* Participate in offsite trial activities
* Work closely with the team during solution or future design development
* Installation and testing of prototypes
* Organise and control any relevant production documentation and assist in the development of work sequences and work instructions
* Daily support of facility operations activities
* Define and maintain safe processes for operational activities and ensure that all process activities adhere to current Risk Assessment and associated Safe Systems of Work
Your skills and experiences:
* HNC/HND Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
* Able to carry out risk assessments, being aware of potential hazards in your area
* Able to use root cause analysis tools to problem solve
* Working experience of manufacturing or similar environment, utilising systems, tools and structure to influence outcomes around safety, quality, cost, delivery and people
* General engineering understanding across design, manufacturing and test processes, and demonstrate the importance of a "safety first" culture
* Strong stakeholder management relation across the function and wider business
