Job Title: Director of Business Development (BFSI)

Role Type: Individual Contributor, Hunter Role

Required Industry : Work experience of 8 to 10 years in BPO industries is a must.

Location: Greater London


Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to join our team in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. As a key individual contributor in a hunter role, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with customers in the BFSI industry. You will drive business growth by working with clients from opportunity identification through to contract closure, leveraging your deep understanding of the BFSI landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification and Prospecting:
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and target new business opportunities within the BFSI sector, focusing on high-value clients and decision-makers.
  • Customer Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with C-level executives, key stakeholders, and decision-makers in target BFSI organizations. Understand their needs, challenges, and pain points to propose tailored solutions.
  • Sales Process Management:
  • Manage the end-to-end business development process from lead generation to deal closure, including prospect qualification, proposal development, presentations, contract negotiation, and finalizing agreements.
  • Revenue Growth:
  • Meet and exceed revenue targets through effective sales strategies, pipeline management, and a focus on closing high-value deals.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, product, legal, and finance to ensure seamless customer engagements and successful deal closures.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the BFSI sector. Use this knowledge to position the company as a leader in the space and to inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Pipeline Management:
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and accurately forecast revenue and deal progress, providing timely updates to senior management.
  • Networking and Relationship Building:
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities to build connections and identify potential customers.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience:
  • 20+ years of business development, sales, or similar experience in the BFSI sector, with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets in a hunter role.
  • BFSI Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of the BFSI industry, including key trends, regulatory environment, technology solutions, and major players. Strong relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers in the industry is a plus.
  • Sales Skills:
  • Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with a consultative selling approach. Experience with complex deal structuring and closing large, multi-year contracts.
  • Self-Starter:
  • Highly motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable with working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking:
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities, assess risks, and propose solutions that align with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Bachelor’s Degree:
  • Required in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
